Some days you just have a creative block and there’s nothing you can do about it. It’s usually a good excuse to go surfing!
The Snake Hole is a creative space, gallery and apparel brand running out of Mornington, Victoria. It’s run by locals Josh Brown, Josh Meyer and Cam Stynes. Their goal is to support local and emerging artists & provide a space for them to exhibit work alongside well-established artists.

JB: When I’m in the shower, then I usually forget by the time I get out.
JM: When Josh, Cam and I get together to discuss new projects… Three heads are better than one!

JB: I started drawing in 1995 because my parents sent me to drawing classes.
JM: I started drawing in 2008 on my science text books because I didn’t understand physics.
CS: I started creating with my grandad in the 90’s.

JB: I heard you could make a lot of money out of it… right?
JM: Because I wanted to be the guy who did the sketches in the crime stoppers ads.
CS: wasn’t allowed to be Rambo!

JB: Pentax K1000 because its still more reliable than a digital camera.
JM: iPhone camera combined with the ‘toaster’ filter.

JB: is an important tool in design and art, but shouldn’t be relied on too heavily. I always like to use hand drawn elements in most of my work.
JM: is an essential part of the creative process these days.

JB: A necessity.
JM: Getting lost in airports, losing passports, but totally worth it.
CS: somethings that doesn’t happen enough!

JB: Launching our new clothing range.
JM: Yup, definitely launching the range… and finishing Breaking Bad.

The advice I have to share for those who want to follow in my footsteps…
JB: I think my advice would be to work for someone else before you work for yourself, soak up as much experience as you can, have fun and work yo’ ass off!
JM: Draw lots and don’t sleep.
CS: Do what feels good and don’t worry what others think!
